• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the reliability and performance of electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Collaborate with senior management to align E&I objectives with overall business goals
  • Conduct long-term planning for equipment upgrades, plant expansions, and new technology implementation
  • Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Ensure maximum uptime of equipment by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement solutions for recurring E&I issues
  • Maintain and update documentation, including electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and control narratives
  • Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of new E&I projects, from planning to completion
  • Evaluate and approve technical specifications, drawings, and vendor proposals
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure project objectives and timelines are met
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and company policies (such as DOSH, IEC, IEEE)
  • Promote a culture of safety by implementing safe work practices, training staff, and conducting regular safety audits
  • Participate in HAZOP and risk assessment reviews to identify and mitigate operational risks
  • Lead and develop the E&I team by providing technical training, mentorship, and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Monitor team performance, identify skills gaps, and drive professional development
  • Evaluate and manage contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective solutions
  • Optimize E&I budgets by implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety
  • Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory to ensure parts availability while managing costs

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in Electrical & Instrumentation roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
  • Experience in the Distillery, chemical, or manufacturing industry is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of process automation systems, including PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems
  • Proficient in interpreting electrical and instrumentation drawings and P&IDs
  • Familiarity with international electrical codes and standards, such as IEC and IEEE
  • Knowledge of energy management systems and sustainable practices
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage and inspire teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying improvements
